Bellway releases homes for sale at its landmark scheme in Bishop's Stortford

Homes have now been released for sale in the final apartment block at Bellway’s Goodsyard development in Bishop’s Stortford, which is delivering 323 new homes in the town, and forms part of the regeneration of the former railway freight area off Station Road.

The first phase of the development — The Exchange — is already complete and features 149 homes which have all been sold.

Bellway is in the final phases of construction at Southside Locks, which comprises 174 properties across five buildings, including 128 homes for private sale and 46 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

More than half of the private homes at Southside Locks have already been sold and apartments within the final apartment block to be built — Block 5 — are now available to reserve.

Bellway north London sales manager, Matthew Saw, said: “Work is progressing very well at Southside Locks, and we’re now selling homes within the final block to be built.

“We have already sold more than half of the private homes and interest, particularly among first-time buyers, continues to be high.

“It’s also such a desirable location.

“Being at the centre of town makes it easy to enjoy everyday life in this historic market town — yet it’s also right next to the railway station giving quick access to central London, which is a big draw for city commuters.

“And the overall design of the project makes it a pleasure to live in with public open spaces, communal gardens, and a riverside walk.

“There are now just 63 apartments left for sale across the development and with two showhomes, we don’t expect them to be available for long.”
